Horn-type speakers are still widely used in rural areas and some markets in towns. Once the sound membrane of a horn-type speaker is lost, it is necessary to ensure the correct installation of the sound membrane. The following method can easily solve this problem. The installation can be carried out in two steps.
The first step is to select paper of appropriate thickness and cut two paper strips with a looseness of ~10mm and a length 20mm larger than the diameter of the center piece. Then place the two paper strips perpendicular to each other on the center piece (the position should be centered). To prevent them from moving, you can use a little glue to stick them together. Insert the two ends of the paper strip into the magnetic gap. Align the voice coil on the sound membrane with the magnetic gap and press it down gently. Due to the existence of the paper strip, the position of the voice coil is exactly in the middle of the magnetic gap and will not be deflected. Apply a layer of universal glue on the edge of the sound membrane and cover the upper cover of the sound head. Align the screw holes and tighten the screws. And remember the relative position of the upper cover and the sound head in the appropriate position. Leave it for 8 hours. After the universal glue is completely dry, you can unscrew the screws and remove the upper cover. At this time, the sound film has been glued to the upper cover.
The second step is to weld the lead wire to the terminal. Remove the two paper strips, then put the upper cover back, and pay attention to aligning with the original mark. At this time, you can use the multimeter R× block or a 1.5V dry battery, while constantly touching the two terminals to make a sound, and tap the upper cover lightly until the sound reaches the maximum and there is no friction sound, then you can gradually tighten the fixing screws. When tightening the screws, you should tighten them symmetrically in rotation, and you should not tighten one screw very tightly before tightening the second screw.
